we can't find the tooth anymore...can they retreat?
we've started introducing eden to food. our idea is to do baby-led weaning, which means we'd put finger foods in front of him and when he was ready, he'd feed himself. so far, however, it really means that i hold food in his mouth while he chomps happily away. i'm not surprised, he prefers it when i hold his toys as well (lazy child). so he has had a bit of carrot, although he was in a terrible mood...but melon, apple, and kiwi have been far more successful. someone has given me a bit of stick on giving him fruit, saying that he'll only eat sweet stuff and what about his teeth...but come on, it's FRUIT...
so sometime this week we'll be moving on to cucumber, broccoli and tomatoes.
unfortunately he hates his highchair. it's really big...i cannot decide if we should invest in one (it was given to us) or just wait...but he won't be big enough any time soon...so what are we supposed to do? lots of people use bumbo chairs in the interim, however we'll be gone for such a long time while he would be using it...so it'd be a waste of money...i think
he did really well on the weekend away and slept great in his pop-up cot. i wish it lasted for a few years rather than for a few more months!

it isn't unusual for teeth to come and retreat a few times-
what different food to start with- we started with rice cereal and applesauce i think-raw carrots were a lot later because they were concerned of choking- things sure change-
highchairs are interesting to work with when they are just tiny and learning to sit up-
glad he did well on the weekend away and slept well for you- i hope you got some rest-
the pictures are lovely- he looks really cute in his vest-
i dont' think the fruit first will hurt him-sounds good to me-
love you always
